Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

There are so many rules in Litigation, such as Code of Civil Procedures, California Rules of the Court, The Rutter Group, Local Court Rules, Appellate Case Law authorities, etc......which one is the highest authority? Do appellate case laws override all the other rules?

No, appellate case law does not necessarily override other rules. The Rutter Group is not a source of law either, it is merely a secondary source.
