Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
School lawsuit
In 1998 my son was shoved from behind by a school bully(second attack/same bully). This injury has required surgery. I had been a PTA board member for 4 years and was being retaliated against becasue I was bringing up acts of misapropriation of funds/supplies by a school employee. I went to the school principal and my son's teacher. After the second attack I found out my complaints had been ignored. I was told by second school principal to "keep this problem within the school. I complained to the school district. I hired an attorney who was not an education attorney and he deceided to leave the case after it was filed. Another attorney(not an education attorney) said he would look at the case. He was going to ammend the complaint in late June 00. Now he said we need to be "nice guys" and dismiss the school and 3 individuals(which, we just found out he did). This case did come out in our local newspaper. The schools attorney said they have the money to fight us and will drag it out, and because I am a single parent I won't win against them. I need help!

Re: School lawsuit
It's hard to determine whether you have a good case without reviewing the pleadings and any discovery that has been done. If you are in Southern California, we can assist you. Otherwise, you need a local attorney to review everything. We don't do these types of cases on a straight contingency, but on a combination of a reduced hourly and a reduced contingeny. Call or email if you want us to look into it.
