Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
Selling Art
I have made a likeness of a famous person out of cold roll steel (plasma cut) will not match any particular photo of this person. I did take part of the likeness from a snapshot of this person with someone else. I hand drew the upper torso and added clothes simular to what he wore when he was alive. Could I have a problem selling this to the public signed with an address?

Yes. You should contact the estate and get a permission (license) in WRITING.
