Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I have been served with a complaint for money from Chase bank due to non payment of credit card since 9/09. I am going to file an Answer, and am picking up the form from the courthouse. I would like to submit info on my monthly wages/expenses to prove that I cannot pay this back. My question is when should I submit this info? With the Answer? I am not a candidate for either Ch7 or Ch13 bankruptcy, due to still having approx $150,000 equity in my home, which the bank will not allow me to access. I am trying to avoid wage garnishment

You have plenty of money in your home to pay that credit card. A claimed inability to pay a debt is not a defense to a collection action in State court. Shame on you for posting here in a forum that provides help to people who can't afford an attorney.
