Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
Serving Small Claims SC-100, Court House ''Sanctuary''?
I had a friend serve the SC-100 to the defendant. The ''serving'' occurred inside the county court house (in the hallway, not inside a court room). Is this a valid serving? I vaguely remember something about a court house being a ''sanctuary''. Do I need to have the defendant re-served?
