Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

shop warranty

My father is a owner/operator. Truck Driver. He had a turbo replaced in a chain truck stop repair shop. The shop did not install the turbo correctly and it blew again oneweek later. Costing my Dad alot more money in down time and repair expenses getting a certified mechanic to travel and replace the turbo on the side of the road in no-mans land.Over the weekend. The shop is saying that they will give him half of what the turbo costs and that is it. Aren't they liable for all repair expenses? That is only fair. Yes, they do admit fault. And this happened in Wyo.
