Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
my sister was supposed to bury my mothers ashes with my father. but instead she put the ashes in storage and then lost the storage. the storage people gave the ashes to a funeral home. we have tried to get them back but they wont give them to us.

What reason do they give? What does the storage agreement say as to anything left behind when it is breached? You casn argue that the ashes are not mere personal property and the must be returned to you. On the other hand, I am sure that if you paid the funeral home somethig they would release the ashes to you.
