If I sold jewelry to a store and they wrote me a ck and the day after, they say that they put a stop payment on the check because they don't want to buy it after all, is there anything I can do to get the money? I dont want the jewelry back and they still have it. Pls advice. Thank you

Unless there are some other key facts you haven't revealed, the store breached its contract with you. You can sue for breach of contract. Whether it makes sense to do so will depend upon how much the jewelry is worth. If the value is $10,000 or less, your case may be well-suited to small claims court. Even if it is just a bit more than $10,000, you way want to forfeit the rest in order to qualify for small claims court, where it costs a lot less to litigate than in the Superior Court.

Good luck.
