Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

My son was selling items on eBay and he and his girlfriend used her eBay account to sell the items. Well for some reason PayPal decided to keep a large amount for 90 days and then they released it and payed it out to her account a week ago. My son and her broke up about 2 months ago. She is now keeping the money saying its hers. She is being malicious because he broke up with her. My son has the receipts on the products that were sold on eBay showing he paid for them .Can he take her to court with this proof?
