Sopn Drops Auto Insurance

I countersigned for my 19 year old son for an auto purchase. He's making the car payments but has allowed his car insurance to lapse. Am I liable if he is involved in an accident?

only the registered owners are liable

You are only liable if you are one of the registered owners of the car. It doesn�t matter who is paying for it or who cosigned for it. only the registered owners or the driver are liable for accidents.
