Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

In the state of California, is a parent free from being sued for actions of her child (who is now 18 - an adult) for any accidental or intentional injury or damage caused by the adult-child assuming that the parent had no part in the injury/damage?

If the incident involved the use of the parents' home, then the parents might still be liable. If it were outside of the home, did not involve the parents' motor vehicle and there were no other connection to the parents, then the parents shouldn't have any liability.
