It is a system primarily based upon the type of government we have in the United States of America. That system orginally was intended to be democracy, but has been completely converted into a perversion of democracy called Capitalism. In the US, the government, the news media, the legislators and the courts are all driven by Capitalism. Currently, the American Legal System is driven and controlled by Capitalism. Capitalism is another way of saying, "who has the most money?" Almost always, in the American Legal System, he who has the most money, and is willing to spend it, wins--our legal system is set up, designed, and manipulted to ensure the ends of Capitalism are always achieved. It is interesting to note that the system is cloaked in terms of democracy, but those terms are nothing more than a grand illusion and distortion of the reality that lurks behind the cloak. My experience has shown that the illusion successfully deceives the majority of Americans. The media, paid by corporate America, consistently flows a barrage of lies and misleading information to an unsuspecting public. The media, for example, will always publish and republish a story about a "devious" person who got a large verdict against a "poor, helpless and totally innocent" corporation, but it will never publish the story about the hundreds, even thousands of other cases where the "poor" corporation successfully beat a person out of a legitimate lawsuit with legitimate damages because the person did not have enough money to fight them all the way. Think about it. Where else on earth can you find multimillionaires walking down the same sidewalk with the homeless? Where else do the rich grow ever richer and the poor poorer? God Bless America, the best legal system on earth?!
