Re: Can you sue ex-boyfriend in Small Claims for not paying bill?

If you and your ex-boyfriend had an oral agreement that you would turn on the phone, and he would pay the bill, you can sue him in small claims court for breach of contract. You can sue for the amount of the phone bill, plus any late charges, interest, and the cost of filing the lawsuit. If you shared the phone line, you are both equally liable for the phone bill.
