being sued
in the event of a civil assetment agints me in calf , can my wages be attached ? and if so at what rate ?

If a judgment is entered against you the plaintiff, judgment creditor, can obtain a writ of execution. This writ or wage garnishment will require your employer to withhold money from your wages. The maximum that can be withheld on a civil judgment is 25% of your after tax income. If the judgment is for child or spousal support the maximum amount that can be withheld it 50% of your after tax income.
You would also have the right to file a claim of exemption. You should seek the advice of an attorney
