Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Technical University Certificate Program fails to deliver promises but charges a

I would like to know what type of attorney to seek counsel from in order to seek financial compensation from an educational institution. I, along with 7 other students, enrolled in a technical certificate program which made extensive promises on their brochure that were not delivered by the end of the course. The entire class has written letters to program heads but yielded no response. We are all seeking a partial refund but are at a loss as to what type of attorney to seek. Please advise. Thank you.

Education law is a specialty but not a lot of attorney to practice it. The sounds like a case that any attorney who does civil litigation could probably handle. You should contact your local Bar Association and see if they have an attorney referral program where they will match you up with a proper attorney experienced in this area.
