Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Hello and thank you for your time. I am in the Central District of California Federal Court. Where can I find the required "blue backings"? They are not at staples or office max. Also, does each separate proof of service (for multiple defendants) need its own separate blue backing? Thanks again.

Each separate document that you file should have it's own blue back. If you are filing proofs of service of the summons and complaint for each defendant, you will need a blue back for each one. If you are blue backing a motion, or opposition to a motion, the blue back is attached to the back after the proof of service.

My assistant orders blue backs from an online company called elegalsupply.com. In the past, when in a jam, I have simply used blue construction paper cut to 8 1/2 by 14 and used a typewriter to type the name of the document at the bottom, with the top folded over where the two holes go.

Those awful big-box "office supply" stores sometimes do carry Southworth # 41SM Manuscript Covers, they are often found next to the fancy linen paper some people use for resumes.
