zero tolerance

my 13 year old daughter attempted suicide on 11/07/07 due to bullying and spent 4 days in the hospital the school wont do anything to stop the bullying and they say in order for a inter city transfer to another school it has to be a serious matter? They say they don't have an independent study program and really don't want to help me at all my daughter has been back once only after they moved the other child out of her class but the day she returned that child was there I called the Superintendant for the district and the secratary wont put me through she sais they have someone else ''The EX Principal'' of her school and he's been nothing but a night mare It now looks like I'll have to send her to live with her Uncle in Utah so she can feel safe and return to school I have had to indure the police the cps people and the dcs people my whole life has been turned upside down I nearly lost my daughter like I said she spent 4 days at Loma linda Univ. and this little bully gets to continue on at school likenothing she also makes fun of her on Myspace and has made numorous prank clls to my mothers house is there anything I can do legally also would it be a good idea to inform the local news paper maybe Im not the only victim Thanks so muc

You might be successful in a law suit against her and the school. Her parents are liable for up to $15,000, but if you can show they knew about her behavior and did not stop it before your daughter's act of desparation, they might be liable for negligence without the $15,000 limits for being her parents. You need to see an attorney who specializes in suing school districts.
