Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Tragedy here! Grandchild's Trust in Jeopardy. He is heart broken

My 23 yo son was very close to his grandparents. They moved from NY, retiring in Florida. They requested he go to FL, and would pay for college, at 19 yo. Gfa died 3 months later. No pay of education as told, relatives told him he had to wait til estate cleared. Gma dx with Alzheimers. Sons father died thereafter,18 months ago of Brain Tumor. Son shunned by rest of family (due to jealousy)and took gma to CA, where they live. Son doesn't know them well. They won't let them talk to gma in assisted living facility. She had a great relationship with him, may now not even know him. I found out that there is substantial trust for him when gma passes. I told him to try to accept situation, but he is soooo torn. He wants to talk to gma, he is concerned that the Trust will be broken (millions of dollars). How can I try to help him?

If grandma should pass away, under CA law he's entitled to a copy of the trust provisions involving him. As for a visit with grandma, please re-post your question for a lawyer who practices family law. Thanks.
