Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
Unlawful lifestyle
I would like to know why I can not live the way I want to live. Specifically Laws that work to take my children away from me under the pretense of ''Child endangerment''. I would like to build a house that can be pulled by horses and live off the land, teaching my children about the old way of life but I can't because Its unlawful to educate your children the way you want to. I am also not allowed to use the kind of transportation i want to because it may not be ''street legal'' and there is no way to travel thats not a public roadway. Basically If I was seen driving a cart on or off public roads, The would probably impound my vehicle,
evaluate my sanity and take my children to a ''home''. My questin is : Can I live a life free from Gasoline, Electricity, running water, fees, licences, or do I have to have it by law.

Re: Unlawful lifestyle
I certainly believe you can, however, it will take a good deal of research. Many jurisdictions, but not all, require road safe "vehicles," but many still allow horse drawn carriages. Home education, if you think that is what is your children's best interests, is allowable in many juridsictions. I would recomment you look first at the Western states. But, there are fifty states to research. Good luck!
