Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Do I have to wait in line?

I have been notified that a judgment against my former employer has been officially recorded. I wanted to take action to do a business seizure of assets. But, I have found out that other employees have placed liens through the labor board against the employer. Is there any way I can take action or is it true that all I can do is file a lien also and just wait in line? When would a tax lien be paid off? Don't really know what it is.

Re: Do I have to wait in line?

If you have a judgment you may levy on a bank account held by this person/entity, or other property.

Re: Do I have to wait in line?

If you know where your former employer has a checking account, have the sheriff levy against it. That's the quickest way.

On liens other than abstracts of judgment you do not have to wait in line. Please contact our office for review of your documentation. 714 363 0220.
