my wife and I rent out space in our back yard. the person we rented to has not paid the rent for the last 3 months. thetre is no written rental aggreement just verbal. can we dispose of the contents in the storage shed to rent to another person?

California has a specific set of laws dealing with abandoned property. The short answer to your question is no, you can't just up and sell it without taking some other steps.
