Courts in the various counties have different fees. You should go to the appropriate court's website. There's always a link for the fees. In addition, there's a form for waiver of the fees if a litigant qualifies financially.

I apologize. I misread your question. Must be the TGIF excitement, or something. Government Code section 68093 provides: "Except as otherwise provided by law, witness' fees for each day's actual attendance, when legally required to attend a civil action or proceeding in the superior courts, are thirty-five dollars ($35) a day and mileage actually traveled, both ways, twenty cents ($0.20) a mile."
