Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
I won a small claims case for wages that my former employer didn't pay me. What can I do now to get the money? He stated he can't pay me for at least 4 months.

You can start collecting on the judgment. That can stem from anything from a judgment debtor's examination to levying bank accounts or executing on property your former employer owns.

Serve on defendant a Judgment Debtors Statement of Assets (found at:
http://www.courts.ca.gov/forms.htm?filter=SC specifically: http://www.courts.ca.gov/documents/sc133.pdf) Or consider doing a judgment debtors examination (also a court form to fill out) If you know banking information you can levy on bank accounts. These are just a few methods to collect your judgment.
