Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
I work at an elementary school and this family is making an accusation that I am "paying to much attention" to a group of students and that I am releasing information to those students about parents, staff, and other students. Should I look into getting a lawyer or should I see how it all plays out? I have already been interviewed once by the police and they said they did not find anything criminal.

If you gauge the accusation as serious, wether true or not, you should weigh a negative outcome to the cost (your career, freedom, etc).
Engage an attorney. If they begin an "investigation", you should be on top of it and be proactive instead of reactve when it may be too late to change the outcome if negative. There may be no crimiinal implications but are there administrative ones. If the accusations are false, you may be able to use legal methods in seeking redress against them through that attorney as well..
