Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

okay so maybe im wrong for wanting to take her to small claims court over a car she given to me. however this isnt a normal oh your moms so nice she wanted to help you out, kind of case. actually its more complex then that. and you see i live down south, mexico and as you can imagine its hard down here but times havent been that great for me so i moved here, anyhow so the last thing i expected was to have a car given to me by my mom, and when it got impounded i was on my way to the dmv and to get insurance on it, and also i believe maybe she was doing this to get something out of it, you see she married a elderly man who is on the edge of dying, and the dealer where she took me to buy my car 1 week prior they had gone and bought 2 cars brand new paid for, as was mine. the funny thing is that she asked the finance lady to take out 20,000 from the insurance account but my car was only 10,059.she said she wanted money in her pocket.well that didnt wrk out and they gave her a check hold,letting us take the car home, so im thinking she was alreasy upset her scheme didnt work out for her,but it did for me and for that reason she gladly took the car away...shes just greedy and you dont know her, so if your going to answer have some actual legal advice to give.....

Legal advice: Next time somebody gives you a car, take the bus to the DMV to get your license renewed first.
