Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Wrongful Death

My daughter & I along with a nursing home have been named in a wrongful death suit by my husbands children from a previous marriage for: Willful misconduct, constructive fraud, negligence, welfare institution codes 15656 & 15610.07 & 17200, wrongful death & Intentional infliction of emotional distress. My 80 yr old husband of 18 yrs was placed by my myself and our 17 yr daughter after we could no longer care for him in our home (hospital bed in our home for about 2 yrs) and he died 6 months later (Parkinsons disease +) at a care facility. How can they accuse us of this when all I did was sign him into the nursing home? Will homeowners insurance attorney be sufficient council? I have only 20 days left to reply to this order. Oh Please HELP us!! This is so very hard for us to understand. Thank you so much.

Re: Wrongful Death

If your insurance company is providing you with a defense of ALL claims against you in this lawsuit, that is probably sufficient. However, if you want your own personal counsel, you can give me a call to discuss it.

It may simply be the children from the prior marriage being terribly hurt and having little way to express it except for the lawsuit. However, without more information I cannot give an opinion.
