Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
youth football
My boys are being discriminated against for my personal opinions I have had against our local, youth football and cheer league. The board has not following their by-laws and I have been vocal. 12 board member have resigned over the past 2 years. I took over as the Cheer director after 2 quit within months last year. I even brought the girls a National Championship title The board is now refusing to let me boys play for the league. My boys, ages 10 and 12 shouldn't suffer the consequences of my actions(although, none of my actions have violated the by-laws). My husband and I even sign a letter agreeing to just be spectators so our kids could play. This board is refusing to honor the letter and won't let my boys play on their teams! I need help for my boys!!!
PS. They voted my family out when my husband and I were still on the board, but failed to include us in the vote. :) One example of breaking the by-laws. If this isn't a case that you would accept, I would appreciate a referral to someone who is familiar in these types of cases. It seems silly, but I feel really bad for my kids. This is wrong for a local youth program. Do I have a case?

Re: youth football
If the "board" is discriminating against you and persecuting you, likely as not the jury will do the same.
Re: youth football
You probably are not going to find an attorney who will handle the case because it is very doubtful that you can convince a jury to award you much money if anything. It will be very difficult to prove the case. Contact the American Civil Liberties Union and any similar groups in your area, but do not expect much.
