Legal Question in Health Care Law in California
On 2/10/2011 I changed from Blueshield to Anthem Blue Cross Medical Insurance. On 2/17 I went to the doctor to have a lump under my chin looked at. He ordered a CT scan, which I have not had yet.
If they find something serious, is it possible Anthem will not pay because it could have been pre existing? I had continuous coverage without a break. Could both companies refuse my coverage?

It depends on the type of coverage you have. If, as is most common, you changed insurance carriers because you changed employers or because you switched employer-provided plans, there should be no pre-existing condition concerns. Odds are your CT scan will come back negative.
