Legal Question in Health Care Law in California
ccc 3045.1-4
A hospital i was treated at liened my attorney and myself. per my atty he nor i are responsible to satisfy the lien even though we signed for the certified mail, because the responsible insurance company whom the hospital claims they didn't know of, was not liened. therefore we do not have to pay it. i don't want this coming back on me who is right the hospital who calls my attorney & and requests settlement payment. who is correct in the matter? he says the civil codes are for the insurance company only and does not apply to the attorney, correct?
