Legal Question in Health Care Law in California
Hi My Dr's office has this disclaimer in his office policies & you have to sign or they wont see you " I agree to pay my co-pay or estimated portion at the time of visit. If I am billed for my co-pay there will be a $15.00 added." is this legal?
Thanks

You might have a talk with your insurance carrier. Your doctor should have an agreement with the carrier to accept only the agreed co-pay from participants. If your doctor continues to do this, you might simply change doctors. It might even be an unfair business practice.
