Legal Question in Health Care Law in California
i was just informed recently that my name, date
of birth, and medical record number were taken out of a kaiser
permanente hospital. An employee had taken paperwork with this
information home with her and did not return it for a month. I was
wondering if i can sue the hospital for this incident? and if so how
much could i sue for?

Well, you can sue but I don't know if you'll get much damages or any damages. How much was the violation of privacy worth? Was there any real harm done to you as a consequence besides just the fact that your private information was at her house where someone else could have seen it? Hard to say. Could be worth little. Consult a personal injury lawyer.
