Legal Question in Health Care Law in California

medical malpractices

Is there a statue of limitation for a suite to be filed on a medical procedure done over 20 years ago? This forgot mistake has affected my life all this time. I was recently told that a doctor had forgotten to do the final procedure. I had cancer and wasn't suppose to make it. I was told to go home and get my papers in order that there wasn't anything they could do. I am truly a miracle, yet, The hospital gave me blood that contained heptitis C, they over dosed me in radiation, causing my immune system to be supressed as well. I didn't find out this information until at least 10 years after the surgery. I was told that the doctor was suppose to untie my tongue, but just forgot to do it. I just found that out and it has been 20 years. I don't want to seem ungratefull but I would like to know if there would be a chance in hell. The hospital was UCLA. Inquiring minds want to know. and thank you for your time.

Re: medical malpractices

I'm sorry you're still tongue-tied, but you are almost certainly 19 years and 6 months too late to file a lawsuit..
