Legal Question in Health Care Law in California
Hello! My mother who is 79, was in the hospital for 3 days after she had a heart attack . She was treated horribly by the nursing staff while she was under their care at the hospital. When she was discharged, she cried and told me about all the psychological abuse she suffered. She had chest pain for days when she came home. Her cardiologist said she needed to go to emergency, but she refused to go back to that hospital or to any other one, because she was too afraid to go through the same horrible experience.
I understand that I can file a complaint with the hospital, but I don’t want it to be ignored and filed away. I want this problem to be taken care of seriously, so that it doesn’t happen to anyone else, but I also want them to pay for what they did to her. Please help us. Thank you!
Ps. I had sent this question previously, but I failed to write down the access code, sorry.
