Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Applying for H1B

Greetings,

I'm an international student graduated last August. My OPT expires on July 1st. 2003. I have 3 year background in product marketing, and MBA degree. So far I can only find some telemarketing or sales jobs and I'm not sure what are the chances those companies sponsor my H1B. What do you think the chance of getting H1B on as a sales representative or account executive?

I understand some companies don't want to spend the money to sponsor me, what if I pay the money, and they provide me the supporting documents?

thank you very much for your help

Re: Applying for H1B

Dear Sir: you are not permitted to pay the $1000 employer-paid fee. Whether an employer will offer you a job and whether it will be acceptable requires that you select an attorneya nd work with him/her to really carefully strategize your case.

If you can show a specialized aspect of your position that requires a bachelor's degree, it may be possible to obtain a H-1B. Please e-mail me at [email protected] with a job description and we can discuss your options.

Re: Applying for H1B

You will most probably not get a H-1B visa for a sales representative or account executive position. H-1B visas are meant for specialty occupations, i.e. the minimum education requirement for the job should be a US Bachelors Degree (4 years) or equivalent.
