Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
My boyfrined was inptected by an INS officer and now is in NM detenteion center for deportation. Can I help him to no be deported. I am US Citizen we were planning to get married by end of year? How can I help on this situation?

He has to do what he can to fight the deportation. If you get married during deportation proceedings it doesn't count to give him any immigration benefits. Most of the people in deportation proceedings would do that if they could. He needs an immigration attorney. Depending on the facts of the case, there may be a defense. He won't know until he discusses all the facts and circumstances of his case with his attorney.
