Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
Brought to the US by my parents, wondering about my citizenship status
Hi, I'm a Canadian citizen. I was
brought to the US legally by my
parents when I was 11, and lived as
a dependent under their visas,
attended school and am now going to
college. I'm now 22, and I am no
longer under my parents Visa, and I
go to school under AB 540, but what
does that make my citizenship
status? Can I be deported? Is there
anyway for me to get a work permit?

Your parents have green card or they still have visa. Before you became 21 you should have transferred to student visa. Yes...you are out of status and very much deportable
