Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

CA 11357(b) in'88, re: I-130,I-485 petition

I am sponsoring my alien wife for residency(I-130, I-485), thought my CA, santa barbara 11357(b) violation in '88 was same as traffic ticket. Must i be worried about or disclose this to USCIS? My record is totally clean otherwise. I live in CO, was visiting CA in 88.

Most definitely. It must be proven that you are admissible to the U.S. and arrests, dismissals, convictions, post-conviction relief must all be revealed.

I would be happy to help you out in determining your admissibility to the U.S. if you contact me offline. Check me out at http://www.yardum-hunter.com or email me at [email protected].

If you are the US citizen this will not be an issue. The US citizen will only have issues with crimes related to domestic violence and harm to children. If I am misunderstanding your question or if you have other questions please email my office so we can set a time to talk.
