case problem

i am a green card holder and wanted to apply for a uscitizen. but, i have a misdemeanor for shoplifting and my probation will end on june 5, 2008. would that affect me from applying for a uscitizen?

The problem in your case depends on when were you convicted of the crime you are referring to. If it is more than five years ago, you might not have any problems if you apply now.
