Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

name change

My parents became naturalized citizens before I turned 18, and they managed to get me a US passport. Now, the name on my Social Security and passport don't match. What is the best way to change my name, or to have SS recognize the name on my passport?

Go to SSA and get a new card.
