change of status

hello sir,

iam shabana here from India,i came to U.S 2 months back on H1-visa,i couldnot get the job here and visa is going to expire next month,coz at the consulate office of INDIA they took 2 yrs in enquiryng and issuing the visa.so now i have no other choice like to change my status to a tourist visa.so i would appriciate if i could get some help in this regard

You can try finding another job offer and through that get another H-1B. Otherwise, you'll spend a lot of money trying to set up your own consulting company and have that company petition for the H-1B. I don't think you're interested in changing to a student visa! Finally, permanent residence petitions through another employer will take too long.
