Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
US Citizenship
I first came to US in Aug, 2002 on immigration visa [green card]. I stayed for a month and went back to India after getting a reentry permit. My 2nd visit to US was in July, 2005 for three weeks, and then I went back to India after getting a reentry permit. Finally I came to US in Feb, 2007 and have been staying here permanently since then.
When will I become eligible to apply for citizenship? 4 yrs and 1 day after feb, 2007 or will it be 5 yrs after?
Thank you!

Re: US Citizenship
You really should consult an Immigration Attorney. This matter is complex and you should not try to do it yourself so you should get an attorney to discuss your options. If you are located in Southern California, you can email me your contact info, so we can discuss your particular situation. There is no charge for consultation
Re: US Citizenship
Neither: jurisdiction vests after you've resided in the U.S. for four years nine months and as part of that, at least six months physical residence in the jurisdiction of the immigration office that is responsible for the filing.
