Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
US Citizenship
I am a pemanent resident trying to apply for citizenship. I had one arrest about seven years ago. My ex showed up wanting money and when I didn't give it to her she called the cops claiming domestic abuse. This is a complete lie. Anyhow, I was detained for two days (couldn't afford bail) and the charges were later dismissed.
Will this effect my chances of gaining citizenship? If yes, is there anything I can do about it? Thank you for any input.

Re: US Citizenship
If this was just an arrest, without conviction, then you have nothing to worry about.
Make sure you answer all questions fully and truthfully.
For this one you do not need a lawyer. Save your $.

I need to review your arrest record and charging document before I can advise. Please note that consultation will not be free.
