Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
US Citizenship
Situation: I am a US naturalized citizen and I married a Chinese wife while I was in China. We have known each other for 3+ years but have not lived together during that time. We have kept in touch mostly through phone calls, some visits, and over the internet. She has tried entering the US illegally once by using a fake British passport. Immigration caught her and sent her back to England when the incident occurred. She has since moved back to China and on my last visit to her, I got married in court while in China to her.
Question: What possibility is there that I would be able to successfully apply for a visa for her given what has happened so far? What timeframe can we expect for this process to take?
Thanks for any help.

Re: US Citizenship
You can apply as a spouse for your wife, however, depending on the circumstances, she may or may not be able to get in the US in a timely manner.
