Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Conditional Permanent Resident

When I do a search for this subject, all of the web sites say ''YOu are given conditional resident status on the day you are lawfully admitt to the United States on an immigration VISA or receive adjustment status.'' I'm trying to know what I have to do after I marry my us citizen boyfriend to be able to work legally.

Re: Conditional Permanent Resident

It depends. If you are outside of the country and granted resident status upon entry, you can begin working right away. If you are inside of the country you can apply for a work permit at the same time that you apply for your residence. Please feel free to contact me directly for more information.
