Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

contract

i had been petition by a nursing registry here in north california as a registered nurse and been working for them for 1 yr. per contract agreement i had to work for them for 2 yrs before they can release me to work someplace else otherwise i had to pay them $11,000.00 for legal and processing fees they claimed they paid for my papers, but since the working condition had gone terribly bad like not having medical, vacation benefits and staffing issues iam thinking of transfering to another employer which would give me good benefits among all other things and just pay my current petitioner the $11,000.00 as per contract agreement.right now my papers are awaiting decision from uscis and the request for evidence had been submitted already for my I140 and I485 which from what i heard would take another 200 to 250 days for the decision to come down,so while awaiting for that decision can i have another employer continue my current petition? what is going to happen to me if i do that? my current employer is threatening to pull out my current petition if i do that otherwise they want me to pay $27,000.00 for early termination of my contract.pls advise me on what i need to do thx

Re: contract

if you want to at least maintain the petition with another employer, you need to make sure the I-140 is already approved before you leave to a different employer. Your case will die if it is not and you will need to start all over.
