Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
I need to get a copy from immigration of the paper that was sent to us that would say they've received our paper work and have either been approved or denied to continue the case. but I don't know what form to fill out, I want to know if its form I-824 ? and I want to know if I have to pay to get that copy (if it does in fact exist)??

In order to be able to obtain a copy of your file, which is the only way you can obtain the information you seek, is to file a FOIA request, Form G-639.
The I-824 is for a duplicate approval notice only.
For more information, go to USCIS.com & click on the "Forms" link.
