Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
i have a current valid visa, but have also just got a refusal for a new application to take out the same visa (my current one is expiring soon) am i still able to travel on the current visa?

If your visa extension was denied, then you will not be re-admitted to the U.S., if you leave the country, once your original visa expires. In addition, you might not be re-admitted if there is not much time left on your visa, even if it is still valid for a few more weeks or months. The new Administration is going to be very strict with Immigration, so I would not recommend taking any chances.
