Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
Denial of citizenship?
I would like to appeal for my citizenship case. Here
is the situation about my case. I applied for a
citizenship about 3 times. I was victim of domestic
violence in 2001. So, I applied for a citizenship in
2002 when i was in texas-i went thru all the process
and at the end they told me I am in probation, so they
cant give me a citizenship. So, I waited till 2004 and
applied again when I moved to california. Same thing
went thru all the process-pass my test-then told me I
am a victim of domestic violence, don't have good moral
character and have to wait till march 2005 and apply.
So, I applied end of 2005 - went thru same process-got
letter few days ago saying that same thing(domestic
violence, good moral character)but gave me option to
appeal my case and only have 30 days. I was wondering
Should I Stay with the green card? or Hire an attorney to reapply for a citizenship? But, in the meantime, I do not want to get
deported-what if I appeal, they deport me. so Please
let me know whats the best solution for this case. thanks

Re: Denial of citizenship?
Yes you need to pay $265 fee and ask for another interview but that form should accompany a brief explaining why you are eligible for citizenship. You definitely need to hire an attorney.
