Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
Dilemma: Student or Employment
Legally I am a tourist until August, but I want to stay longer. I have two options -that I know of- to maintain a legal status: either become a student or apply for a H-1B. On one hand, I really want to go to school, but I hesitate to apply for a student visa, because, in the light of the latest statements of the INS officials (the new restrictions that they want to impose), they might deny my visa and ask me to leave the country. On the other hand, I have a BA and I qualify for a H-1B, but I dont know any company interested in hiring me. Can someone give me some advice? I have to act quicky, before it is too late.
Thanx.

what is your degree in and what country are you from? I may be able to refer you to a placement company that can help you find a job.
