Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
divorce, Conditional Greencard and international travel
My divorce was recently finalized. My
2 year conditional greencard expires
in september 2008. Because my GC
is based on marriage, and now that I
am not married, does the expiry date
of 9/08 become void and it is NOW
expired and void?! I need to travel
internationally for work and don't
want to get stuck in China if they
scan my greencard and it now
becomes void because im a
Condtional Resident whose
divorced???
HELP! do i have to file the waiver for
I-751 ASAP to be able to leave the
country???

Re: divorce, Conditional Greencard and international travel
You can file your I-751 90 days before. Should consult an attorney before you leave town.
